What do I bring?
You will need to bring a rain suit, Lake Texoma fishing license, snacks, beverages
of your choice, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, and an ice chest to take home your
fillets. [top of page]
What do I provide as your guide?
I provide the boat, fuel, all tackle, and bait. I will also fillet and package
your catch for your trip home. [top of page]
Do I need a fishing license?
Since Lake Texoma is on the Oklahoma/Texas border you must purchase a $12.00 Lake
Texoma fishing license. Even if you have either an Oklahoma or a Texas fishing
license you must purchase a Lake Texoma fishing license since both Texas and Oklahoma
waters are fished. This license can be purchased at the marina before the trip
or most surrounding retailers in the area. The license is good for one calendar
year. (So book as many trips as you would like!) [top of page]
What about safety?
Your safety is my biggest concern. My boat is designed for the greatest of stability.
It is equipped with a marine radio and cell phone for emergencies. There are life
jackets for each person onboard. [top of page]
Are you insured?
Striper Country Guide Service is fully insured for your safety. [top of page]
How large of a group can you fish in your boat?
I can fish 6 people safely on my boat. If you have a group larger that 6 we can
split them between boats and all fish together. These types of trips must be booked
well in advance to assure that I can get enough boats and guides to accommodate
your group. [top of page]
Where can I stay while I'm at Lake Texoma?
Alberta Creek has some great rentals and RV pads within walking distance of the
marina.
You may call them toll free at 877-718-5585 and tell them “Cowboy”
sent you. If the dates your staying are already booked give me a call and I will
try to refer you to some motels in the area. www.albertacreek.com Red Rock Cabins 580-564-1616 -- www.redrockcabins.net

When is the best time of year to fish?
Any time! Actually March, April, May, and June are the best times in the spring.
September, October, November, and December are the best time in the fall. But
the fishing is good anytime of year. These times book up fast, so book early! [top of page]
